I have just returned from northern Italy where I photographed a summer destination wedding on lake Como. What a blast, I really loved it there and will be going back ( soon i hope ) for some well deserved vacations! The lake region is the most picturesque location for a destination wedding in Italy. Everyone has to visit Bellagio and the lake region once; extraordinary location for your dream destination wedding in Italy and a simple marvel for a photographer. Bellagio is a Province of Como in the Italian region Lombardy, located on Lake Como. It has long been famous for its setting at the intersection of the three branches of the Y-shaped lake, which is also known as Lario.
Bellagio is situated at the tip of the peninsula separating the lake’s two southern arms, with the Alps visible across the lake to the north. Simply to die for … I love everything about it, please take me back !
I am now just starting to look at the photographs, there are a lot as always.

A little sample wedding video worth watching to the end. There is quite a funny part where I, the photographer direct a crowd of jolly british fellows. The evening was orchestrated by three sopranos from the Paris opera. They were just amazing to watch and listen. The whole day took place at the chateau d’Ermenonville some 50km from Paris.

We select them for their beauty and durability, to stand the test of time.This particular sample has a beautiful black lizard leather cover with a 4×6 cover outset photograph. Gilding or overlay on edge of pages are available in gold, black or silver in this instance. The prints are pre trimmed to fit custom made mats. The mats or frames come in various colors from white to off white, grey or black, brown or charcoal. The liner or the thin line that goes around the photograph is available in gold, silver, white, ebony as well.

A few more destination weddings, Black and White photographs to share with lovers of the Art of Photography in France.
We are getting many queries, have booked a few weddings for the 2010 season in the south of France, Italy, New York, Dordogne and Provence and not a single wedding in Paris yet! We are booking plane tickets as well as a few trains rides down the French riviera. It is going to be a gorgeous ride going through hills, waters and valleys…
And by the way, “Crazy Heart” just opened at the theater in Los Angeles and New York. Jeff Bridges, one of my “local hero” plays the main caracter. How am i going to justify my next trip to NYC.
From the NY Times : “Crazy Heart” written and directed by Scott Cooper, is a small movie perfectly scaled to the big performance at its center. It offers some picturesque views of out-of-the-way parts of the American West, but the dominant feature of its landscape is Bad Blake, a wayward, aging country singer played by Jeff Bridges…”
May be it is time for a road trip and I love the soundtrack!

I just had a nice conversation with a bride who is looking for her wedding photographer. She was asking to describe my photographic style and why should she use me rather then another wedding photographer !
To put it in a few words : experience, passion, skill & enthusiasm. When you have photographed that many weddings in 18 years of photography, you have gained the experience which is a very precious tool. Taking a photograph becomes second nature. The camera is simply an extension to one’s body and mind.
My dentist is 62 and I love the guy !! And the average age of an Air France pilot who flies transatlantic is 55.
I am fast & efficient, photography is a fun experience for you, family and guests because your photographer laugh, plays & get everyone to relax in front of the lens and the result is always striking. You may call it professionalism which is a rare thing in wedding photography in France i realized.
I do not have to think about technicalities, what’s going to happen next, how to tackle a group portrait, whether it is time to be discreet or rather lively or whether the mother of the bride is camera shy. I have photographed large and intimate weddings in far away destination of various religions, cultural background, ethnic group. I am fluent in two languages and wear a clown noise with ease.
