Portraits of my son in Paris

A little while back i decided to just use film and my rolleiflex to photograph Pierre. There is not a day without a new photo of my son. He is so used to have me around with a camera, it is just very natural. Only i have been using digital since his birth and i have 1000 of files of Pierre not very organized in hard drive. So now, i go the old way and shoot film. Every negative is filed in plastic sleeves in a special archival box. Pierre’s special box … The chances are he is going to be a photographer one day!

Charlie and James, a few natural & classic portraits taken at the Chateau de la Couronne on their wedding day. What can I say ! It was very nice; lots of laughters, happy friends and sweet families. Everyone were just wonderful and it was a pleasure to be part of this beautiful wedding.
And of course, the sun was out …

A selected few pre-wedding portraits taken in Paris with Jannie and Ben from Hong Kong. The weather for once was not collaborating, very unpredictable and it rained for most of the afternoon. We had to use and abuse of a couple of trendy looking umbrellas borrowed from the Georges V and off we went to tackle the streets of Paris. Jannie and Ben were a bit on the shy side. Florent, my assistant was a great help. Afterwards he complemented my “coolness”, professionalism and was a bit surprised at how many photos came out considering the lack of sun.
I Love my assistant!
We all had a nice afternoon though. The photos are natural. Jannie and Ben are happy, at ease, enjoying the moment. We have just sent out to our client two DVD’s with 1.000 high quality files, color corrected and ready to print. Florent learnt that nothing beats 20 years of photographic experience to get the job done.

A little wedding walk in Paris

It is quite late!
I had a wonderful afternoon taking some portraits of a couple in the streets of Paris.

I couldn’t resist putting together a little selection for the blog.

It has been close to 20 years since i photographed my first wedding.

I look at the photos on my screen and i still get exited like it was the first time.

Funny hey … Love taking pictures, it is a lot of fun and you meet wonderful people along the way. I often feel quite privileged.

Little rest now and more later for sure.From my bride : “…We were just able to go through the photos we were out of town with Russell’s family. All I can say is you are AMAZING! A true artist! We have so many that we absolutely love. I put together a book that has 100+ pages of photos I love!
I have purchased a hard drive that I can mail. Just send me an address and I will pack a return mail package with it. My Photoshop class starts in a couple of weeks so I am super excited to play with some of them! Thanks for everything XO Cynthia ….”
